Overview
A new, venture-backed medical technology spin-out is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or potential Co-Founder to lead the transition from advanced research to commercial success.
The company originates from a proven scientific platform within a respected European R&D organisation and is now moving toward clinical validation and product development in diagnostic imaging.
The CEO will lead the next phase — building the business, defining strategic direction, attracting investment, and creating partnerships with major OEMs and healthcare providers across Europe and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the commercialisation and funding strategy for the company’s core technology.
- Lead fundraising activities (seed / Series A) with venture investors, corporate partners, and grant bodies.
- Build and manage a multidisciplinary team including engineering, regulatory, and clinical experts.
- Develop strategic collaborations with healthcare institutions, OEMs, and research partners.
- Oversee product development, regulatory pathways, and clinical translation.
- Represent the company in investor, partner, and media interactions, setting the tone for brand and culture.
- Work closely with scientific founders and the board to align technical development with commercial goals.
Ideal Profile:
Leadership
Experienced executive or senior leader with a track record of building or scaling a medical technology or imaging business.
Industry Expertise
Background in medical imaging, diagnostic imaging, or related healthcare technology.
Commercial Experience
Proven ability to drive partnerships, fundraising, and go-to-market strategies in a regulated environment.
Technical Understanding
Strong grasp of complex scientific or engineering concepts; able to bridge R&D and market strategy.
Strategic Mindset
Entrepreneurial, agile, and comfortable operating in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment.
Education
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or equivalent strategic experience advantageous.
